It was quite a fruitful walk at ANR this morning. Saw a kestrel and a high level raptor that I think was a hobby. Numerous warblers of course including sight of blackcaps and sound of cetti’s and sedge warblers and good views of a song thrush. This whitethroat sang among the May blossom and my eye was caught by this goose family among the buttercups.
We had our first baby in the garden today, a dunnock. I’ll post pictures when I manage to get a good shot.
