I took a tram to Highfields Park near the University this morning. I was pleased to see a couple of mistle thrushes.
I had heard that a pair of Egyptian geese had produced young. They seem to be more than tolerant of humans so was able to get quite close.
Someone told me that the original brood was five. Let’s hope these three all reach maturity.
Finally – a couple of redheads! Pochard (male) and a Goosander (female). Not a usual spot at Highfields.
