Despite it being a bit on the dull side I spent a few hours at ANR this morning. Among the spots were a goldeneye, a flock of 30 (ish) migratory thrushes (mistle thrush, redwing & fieldfare), glimpses of a water rail and cetti’s warbler, a goldcrest, loads of tree sparrows and a male red crested pochard. I did get some blurred shots of a robin taking seed from my hand. All in all a good bag for a unpromising day.
Here are a couple of samples with my good wishes for a really great New Year.
Happy New Year to you & Barbara
