Mistle Thrushes

We went for a Sunday evening walk and saw these two mistle thrushes foraging for worms or whatever in the turf of our local golf course.

The left hand on was in the the shade – hence the apparent difference in colour.

Shortly after seeing the mistle thrushes we were intrigued to see quite a few snails, with a variety of shell forms, on a metal fence. I suspect that the mistle thrushes would make short work of these.
