It’s a long time since we saw any new birds in the garden but green parakeets arrived in our neck of the woods yesterday and today (Nov 1st) we saw (and heard!) three of these colourful birds around the garden. This is the best of the shots I managed.

Added to the first visit for a long time by a pair of sparrows (below) and a female bullfinch it has been a bit of a good week for garden birding.
