Today I revisited a spot where I saw a couple of goldcrests yesterday, hoping to get better pictures. Goldcrests were nowhere to be seen but while trying to get a shot of some long tailed tits I saw a tree creeper scuttling about. It is a tricky bird to photograph because it moves so quickly but I managed some reasonable shots.. Note the specialised bill for probing crevices in the bark and the tiny talons for hanging on.
