The bright weather drew me again to Attenborough but I had several good spots before I even reached the reserve. A sparrowhawk perched on a roof as I walked to the bus stop, a bluetit showed up well in somebody’s garden and reed buntings were attracted to feeders in a garden bordering the reserve.
On the reserve I had views of a goldcrest, a male bullfinch, another reed bunting and a green woodpecker but only this kestrel posed well enough for a satisfactory picture.
