Whooper Swans at Attenborough

We had a bright and breezy walk around the reserve today (19th March) and someone kindly pointed out a flock of 10 whooper swans. They were a long way off so my pictures are somewhat grainy but as this is a first for me at ANR then I need to blog the sighting.

The feature that distinguishes whooper swans from the much more common mute swan is the shape and colouring of the bill.
