I don’t normally post pictures of captive birds but as this Harris Hawk is a rescued bird I am making an exception. As its keeper explained to me when we met at Attenborough Nature Reserve it was injured during falconry and would have been put down had it not been found a new home. It’s a 9 year old female named Jess.
