A jay was the first spot of my day at Attenborough today (27/09). It is framed quite nicely by fading Autumn leaves.
I heard several robins singing along the Wet Marsh Path, presumably to establish territory but this one seemed to be taking a break.
A resting snipe seen from the Tower Hide. Usually well camouflaged this one is more visible against the greenery. It was some distance away hence the less than ideal quality.
This male red crested pochard was preening himself by the Visitor Centre. I managed to photograph him just as the sunlight illuminated his extended crest.
