I was pleased to get good views of tree sparrows in the Nature Garden on what was an otherwise unremarkable walk around ANR today.
There is a small nature reserve known as the ‘Glebe Field’ adjacent to the main reserve at Attenborough. It’s a large meadow and today it was home to a flock of Herdwick sheep. I presume they are used as woolly lawn mowers. Cattle are also used elsewhere on the reserve as conservation grazers. I couldn’t resist taking a few shots of these cuddly animals
I love Herdwicks!!!!! Brenda
