These are the highlights from my walk around Attenborough Nature Rerserve today. A mistle thrush was enjoying the fruits of a hawthorn near the Tower Hide. I also had sight of a couple of redwings but not clearly enough for good pictures.
The dunnock may be just a ‘little brown job’ but I think this photo shows just how much detail there is in its plumage. It also has a beautiful song.
I also had some success in photographing nuthatch, wren and even a goldcrest but the most seasonally appropriate shot was of a robin eating from my hand.
