Red Legged Partridge

It is perhaps appropriate that my first real posting in the new, improved format features a garden first. I was not sure of this bird’s identity but a quick Google confirmed it as a Red Legged Partridge. I managed a couple of shots in the garden, this is the best. It then left the garden – ignoring next door’s pear tree!

Following it down the street allowed me some better shots as it perched on a neighbour’s fence.
