Highfields Revisited

Included in this posting are some additional spots from my visit to Nottingham University Park, known locally as Highfields, on Monday 19th and a welcome contribution from a follower in South Korea.

The black headed gulls on the Highfields boating lake were mobbing a pair of black backed gulls, presumably to protect their young.
This Duck Ice Ballet clip was taken by blog follower Wonhee on the frozen lake in the grounds of Gwangju University (her alma mater) in the southern part of South Korea. The three ducks on the left are clearly male mallards but the right hand bird looks somewhat similar to a female mandarin. Thank you, Wonhee, for sharing this amusing clip.
